I should say Spring Festival is the most important holiday for our Chinese（启），which, in general, occurs either in late January or early February according to our Lunar Calendar（承）。Although different people in different places may have different customs or folklores（转），a big dinner for family reunion on the Eve of Spring Festival, set-off fireworks or firecracks, giving red packets to young kids from senior generations are quite the same（承），another sameness is the special dish ---- fish meaning ”more than enough”, despite people in different areas（承、转）。Why I think such a holiday is so special to us is just because we Chinese focus on family-tie or family-tree, get-gether after a long departure is really a happy moment when we share the cozy family atmosphere together（承），besides（承），this 7-day-off holiday may provide us with opportunities to do what we like（承），thus, such a one is so special to us（合）。
4、 Some people may believe that with more foreign festivals such as X-mas or St, Valentine’s Day introduced to China, your Spring Festival will be dampened. What’s your thought?
It is true that some foreign festivals are popular in my country today（启）。But it doesn’t mean our own one like Spring Festival will be dampened（转）。Take a big dinner for family reunion on the Eve for instance（启），every Chinese, every family even every year, we’ll never forget the date, we’ll follow our ancient customs, celebrate it by set-off fireworks or cracks（承）。We’ll have a special dish-fish meaning “more than enough”（承），thus, the festivity is not, and will not be dampened（合）。Your worries, therefore, seem to be unnecessary（合）。
